Today’s the 40th Anniversary of the Legalization of Abortion? False.

Abortion has never been legalized. No law has been repealed, nor modified to allow abortion. What happened 40 years ago was that a government institution crossed the boundaries of its legitimate authority and ordered – on the sole basis of the 14th Amendment – the states to disregard their state laws concerning the murder of unborn. Many have forgotten that the true name of that lawsuit shouldn’t be “Roe v. Wade” but “The US Supreme Court v. the state of Texas.”

The tragedy is not that the Supreme Court ruled the way it ruled. We can expect evil men to make evil decisions. The tragedy is that the state of Texas complied. And so did the other states. Texas should have told the Supreme Court: “Tomorrow, we are executing an abortionist. Come and stop us. Make sure you have ample firepower or you are in for a great surprise.”

This issue is not going to be resolved in Washington DC, by “conservative” or “Christian” lobbyists. For it was not an issue of individual rights. It was a demonstration of centralized Federal power over local government. And lobbyists in Washington DC have no interest nor intention to repeal that decision; for it will signal the beginning of the wane of Federal power. And less Federal power means less money for DC lobbyists.

Molech was not a god of baby-killing. He was the god of the centralized, all-powerful, regulating, taxing, welfare-warfare state; in other words, the god of Washington DC. Killing the babies was only a means to a goal: The affirmation of state power over the family, over the church, and over the individual. As long as Molech’s cult survives, babies are going to be butchered. As long as we trust those “Christians” and “conservatives” who serve Molech, claiming that they are there to end abortion, babies are going to be butchered. You end the practices of a cult only by ending the cult itself.

So our energy should be focused on our states and counties. The end of baby-butchering will come when a state tells the Supreme Court: “We are executing an abortionist tomorrow. Come and stop us. And take those executive orders Obama signed. They won’t help you in Texas, but we will have fun.”
