Big Brother Headlock

In the same way that Big Medicine is making millions while causing unnecessary problems with the health of others, Big Government is also creating problems and getting richer and more powerful, expanding their grip of tyranny.

The moronic solutions and sinful motives are the problem with government. The examples government has set for large and small businesses, leads to the expensive, sinful and unlawful bailouts for corporations. Go into debt to pay off debt, regulate in order to fix other regulations and so on. These methods make absolutely no sense, yet government has their nose so deep into our private lives, sniffing out profit, that they are willing to steal from workers, showing that they have lost all understanding of what is even morally acceptable.

Prescriptions are like government regulations, except that drugs are permissible. Doctors, in an attempt to heal illness, give patients drugs to heal the body. Government does something very similar, but does so outside the civil limits set forth by God. During a crisis, such as unemployment, natural disasters, a collapsing stock market and any other event that the church and individuals should confront, or leave the individual to receive the dues of their actions, government comes in as the Savior, fronting an agenda of compassion for the weak and unfortunate. Yet, this “aid”, and I use that loosely, is funded at the expense of those who work, resulting in more taxation and regulation.

These simple regulations may seem innocent and could even move one to think it’s effective, but once issues start to arise due to the initial regulations, more regulations are put into place in order to counter-act the effects. We saw this happen with the 4 trillion dollar stock market bailouts.

Government has become so high on regulating our lives that it’s now become self-mutilation. Government is climbing the ladder in power, but eventually it will fall…hard, and if we don’t get Christians into politics, educating them on Biblical law and setting the example of how to fight the government out of our bedrooms, then we’re all going to pay for it.

What is the solution? Biblical law is the answer. Wait, let me make it clearer, the Bible, Old Testament. Israel was not a government that had authority to raid your home on suspicion of adultery, rather the case must first be established. The government Israel had did exactly what government should do according to Paul,

“For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.” Romans 13:3,4

The government is my servant, not the other way around. I don’t need Big Brother telling me what milk I cannot drink, not should anyone desire such slavery and dependency. I just need government to do what God has said it can do: bring about His wrath. It’s about high-time that we Christians realize that the ground we stand on is burning and that until a Christian worldview is implemented governments will continue to ride out their power struggle. Look to the east and see what happens when a nation abandons God’s law.
